The last was gifted with Kai Hansen playing Temple of Hate. Since I discovered them, I went to all but 3 of their concerts in Sao Paulo. It definitely brings out the best of Brazil's music, especially with Felipe Matos on the bass, Aquiles Priester on the drums, and Rafael Bittencourt and Kiko Loureiro on the guitars, although I will always be biased when talking about Angra, as they were the ones that got me into metal in the first place (thanks to Acid Rain (Rebirth)). Indeed a must have, if you like 'cultural' metal. Unlike any other Angra album, although I haven't yet heard Aurora Consurgeons (It'll be my first acquisition when I go back to Sao Paulo in two weeks), and Edu's voice finally moves away from a technical Andre Matos voice, to a harmonious and melodic voice.
It is definitely a unique album, with elements of power, thrash, melodic, speed and traditional heavy metal, as well as Bossa Nova, MPB, and a somewhat Samba start to The Shadow Hunter.
This is now my favorite part of the album, despite I having gone off metal, listening to it only occasionally (now for instance, The Shadow Hunter). I suppose it can be argued that this album is an acquired taste, as it took me a while to actually like tracks 7 - 13 (where it slows down and Brazilian rhythms are much more influential).
